Henry García Gaviria Named Executive Director of the Marina Orth Foundation
The Marina Orth Foundation, a Medellin, Colombia, based nonprofit educational organization that has won multiple international robotics awards and is a leader in teaching technology, English, and leadership to underserved communities in Colombia, has appointed Henry García Gaviria as its new Executive Director.
García Gaviria, 37, who previously served as Director of Institutional Outreach at Medellin’s Presentes Corporation, has extensive knowledge of Colombia’s social sector, with wide experience in project management in education, strategic planning, and financial sustainability for major Colombian organizations, including: the Colombian Ministry of Culture, the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace of the Presidency of the Republic, the Mobile Public Libraries (Public Libraries for Peace), the Empresas Publicas Foundation of Medellin (EPM), Compartamos con Colombia, among others.
At a significant moment of growth in its transformation to expand its reach and to achieve long-term sustainability, the Marina Orth Foundation is excited to welcome the creative ideas, empathy, and hard work of Henry García Gaviria.
